John Shellard, one of the most long-standing members of the Saint Lukes Church Fontainebleau congregation, turned 90 years old not long ago. Saint Lukes honoured him on the day with a round of singing, a cake, and the promise of a birthday lunch, which he recently enjoyed with his wife Jackie. Here’s what he has to say:

” A big thank you to St. Lukes for my 90th birthday lunch which both Jackie and I enjoyed today.  Yes, it was a bit late, but that’s how it goes !  All sorts of celebrations and still more to come … I can recommend it.  Walking into F’bleau was great, walking home after was more tricky – perhaps we should avoid the wine for the 100th !”

Thank you for the thank you John! Only 10 short years more and maybe Saint Luke’s will pitch in for a taxi ride home, too 🙂
